Nice Don. The only sound at Thetis Lake yesterday afternoon was some asshole’s ghetto blaster. I longed for the sound of the trees.
Reblogged this on HelloMyHoney.
I know we are all blogger’s that use technology as a medium to communicate our ideas, but this resonates with me. I hate the sound of nature being drawn out by our so called life improving technology.
I like how this poem builds towards the end and then ends up being like one held breath while going “man do I really have to answer this thing?” I especially liked the images in the middle: from “multihued tones of leaves” to “maybe a duck”, which I found funny.
Someone said ducks are God’s gift to photographers, but they forgot to add ‘and poets’.
