The title reminds mr of a Lynyrd Skynyrd song; That Smell.
I fondly remember the pleasant aromas wafting from the kitchens in the neighborhood when I was a child. Actually even into adulthood since where I lived people still opened their windows in warm weather and most still do not have air conditioning.
The smells of spring, of live of that very special place we visit or visited; the pine forest or the mountains a high meadow in Montana or the surf and sand at the beach. Even underground there are pleasing aromas in the caves and Caverns that dot many of the States.
Hmm, maybe they should just come straight here to La Belle Patates on Esquimalt Road. I’d like to take their picture.

Nice post.
I’d invest in smell-o-vision if there was such a thing. It would make 3D seem insignificant!
but how would you get close enough to get the smell of a polar bear?
I guess dressing like a seal would be a bad idea?
Good theory. But why would the polar bears want to travel to Newfoundland? Warmer means also that the icebergs melt more rapidly…
Beats me, and on top of that they’ll have to swim home!
